Greg was after a hybrid space: somewhere to work, somewhere to train, and somewhere to switch off. It needed to be straightforward to get in and built, and the quality had to be right.

After comparing several options online, Greg found Tiger Modular looked like the easiest to get in and built - and the quality looked the highest of the lot. Value for money was high when he weighed everything up, and the materials were a deciding factor.

“The quality of the build and the materials, like the composite cladding on the outside, was definitely a big factor for me.”

Specifying the building was, in Greg’s words, “like a little shopping list, tick-list thing.” From there to a finished building took around three months - which he cheerfully admits was only because he was slow making a few decisions.

Throughout, communication was clear. Greg was added to a WhatsApp group with every member of the team involved, so he always knew who was coming, when, and what was happening next.

“We got dropped into a WhatsApp group with all the team members and everyone that was involved, and knew when everyone was coming, the timings, everything. Nice and smooth and easy.”

Once on site, the installation team were in and out in just over a week. Greg describes them as really professional - and a good laugh too.

As for the finished building, his verdict is simple: “The quality is bang on.”

What Greg values most is how effortless it is to use. The electrics, heating and cooling are all built in and simple to operate, so the room works as a genuine extension of the home rather than an outbuilding.

“You just come out of the house, down the garden, straight in there, and it’s just like going to another room in your house.”

The building has transformed how the family uses their outdoor space. Sitting at the end of the garden, it “bookends” the plot and has brought the rear garden back into everyday use.

“We spend a lot of time out here now. I’m not sure the neighbours are 100% on it - we put a bit of music on, the kids are out here - but it’s become a fun space for the family to use.”

For Greg, the real value is having a space that’s entirely his to focus in - whether that’s work, training or a hobby. He has already recommended Tiger Modular to friends and family, and his advice to anyone considering one is short: “Do it.”
